Notebook is a personal journey in urban environments, it is a regard on contemporary society, social and urban complexity of cities.
The project started in the city of Antwerpen coming back after more than 25 years . Photographing the city was a way to rediscover the town where I was born. To experience the changes and to project ourselves into the changes. Certainly the cities are constantly transforming, but we cannot deny that we are changing too.
Visions in 16:9.
For most photographs I use 16:9 format which is not a classical photographic size but a common video format. I started to use that format after video experiments on dance. The major advantage is to create a large image with a strong cinema feeling but not to have the typical wide-angle view. The lecture of the photograph becomes then completely different.
